'Dhurandhar: The Revenge' continues its dominant run at the box office while also making headlines for a quick correction. The makers have now sent a revised print of the film to theatres after a minor goof went viral online. Even as the film crosses major milestones globally, the fix has caught attention.
Goof in fight scene
Soon after the film’s release, fans began praising the detailing in
Aditya Dhar’s direction. However, a minor error in one of the scenes sparked discussion online. A clip from a fight sequence featuring Ranveer Singh and Udaybir Sandhu surfaced on social media. In the scene, a cameraman was briefly visible in a mirror reflection. The moment, though blink-and-miss, quickly turned into a meme fest. Social media users widely shared the clip, pointing out the unnoticed detail.
Revised print sent to theatres
The makers acted promptly after the issue gained traction. A revised version of the film was sent to cinemas across the country. As per Bollywood Hungama's report, “Cinemas across the country were sent revised prints of the film and were told to screen them with immediate effect. Some theatres received the new print on Saturday, while others got it on Sunday."
The move ensured that audiences watching the film in theatres would now see the corrected version without the visible goof.
Error fixed in new version
The updated print has addressed the issue that went viral online. The report further confirmed that the mistake has been removed in the revised version.
“In this new print, the cameraman can no longer be seen in the mirror’s reflection. When you are delivering such a mammoth film, you need to take care of countless aspects. Once in a while, mistakes do happen. Even in Hollywood films, one can spot many such goofs. It’s praiseworthy that Aditya Dhar and his team got the mistake corrected. It goes without saying that even after the theatrical run, it’ll be the rectified version that will play on OTT and satellite,"the report added.
Story continues with high stakes
Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film continues the story from its first installment. It explores the journey of an Indian spy navigating complex missions. The narrative dives deeper into the past of Ranveer Singh’s character, Jaskirat Singh Rangi. It also expands on his identity as Hamza.
Record-breaking box office run
Even amid the minor controversy, Dhurandhar: The Revenge has maintained a strong box office performance. The film has crossed significant milestones within days of release. According to reported figures from Sacnilk, the film has crossed Rs 1000 crore gross in India by Day 11. Its worldwide collection stands at Rs 1365 crore, including Rs 1023 crore from India and Rs 342 crore overseas.
The total India net collection has reached Rs 867 crore. The film has also surpassed the lifetime worldwide collection of its predecessor 'Dhurandhar'.
