Jeetendra on Dharmendra's demise: I’ve lost a friend, more a brother to me

Veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra passed away in Mumbai on Monday, November 24, at the age of 89. The legendary actor had been in and out of Breach Candy Hospital in South Mumbai earlier this month but was discharged last week and was continuing his recovery at home.

Dharmendra, fondly known as the “He-Man” of Bollywood, leaves behind a legacy of unforgettable performances in films such as Ayee Milan Ki Bela, Phool Aur Patthar, Aaye Din Bahar Ke, Seeta Aur Geeta, Raja Jani, Jugnu, Yaadon Ki Baaraat, Dost, Sholay, Pratiggya, Charas, and Dharam Veer, among many others.




His longtime friend and co-star Jeetendra, who shared the screen with Dharmendra in films like Dharam Veer, The Burning Train, Samraat, Insaaf Ki Pukar, Nafrat Ki Aandhi, Paappi Devataa, and Hum Sab Chor Hain, expressed his grief. “Don’t have words right now to express the intensity of emotion in my heart! I’ve lost a friend, more a brother to me! Even though we met less frequently in the last few decades, our friendship has always stood the test of time! An everlasting connection that went far beyond the professional equation we shared as co-actors in the several films that we have made together! The moments we shared together shall live on forever in my heart! My deepest condolences to his family and friends! RIP Dharam ji!”
