Following the success of wife Hema Malini and son
Sunny Deol at the recent election polls,
Dharmendra had another reason to celebrate recently.
He took to Twitter to congratulate Sunny for doing his job as a political leader. He was referring to the report that stated the actor-turned-politician rescued a 45-year-old woman, who was trapped in
Kuwait. She was lured by a travel agent, promising her housekeeping job offer with a salary of Rs 30,000 per month.
However, when she landed there, she was sold to a Pakistani man, who reportedly assaulted her and kept her as a prisoner.
Notified of her situation, Sunny, who is currently the MP of Punjab's Gurdaspur, with the help of District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) and two NGOs, from Kuwait and Canada, was reportedly able to bring her back to India. He also involved External Affairs Ministry in New Delhi in the matter.
Lauding him for his good deed, Dharmendra wrote, "Naukri samajh kar farz nibhaana Sunny bete. God bless you."
When the Twitterati responded with positive words, the senior actor added, "Dear friends, thanks a lot for your encouraging comments for Sunny. He will do his best for Gurdaspur. A worried father."
