Coffee Bloom to release on Holi

The refreshing aroma of blooming coffee flowers, combined with the smell of wet earth after the first rains, makes a heady mix for romance.
That’s what serves as the setting for Coffee Bloom — helmed by debutant director Manu Warrier — a tale of unrequited love and self-discovery. The movie revolves around Dev Anand, a coffee planter, who has lost in love and life, and Anika, his former lover, whom he meets, after she has already become someone else’s wife.
Consequently, the many twists and turns of fate compel Dev to confront all that he is running away from.
Produced by Harish Amin, who has worked with award-winning filmmakers like Mira Nair (The Namesake, Salaam Bombay), Wes Anderson (The Darjeeling Limited), Farhan Akhtar (Lakshya) and Homi Adajania (Being Cyrus), the movie features Arjun Mathur, Sugandha Ram and Mohan Kapur.
Coffee Bloom, produced by Speaking Tree Pictures Pvt Ltd., releases in India, USA and Toronto on March 6.
