Celebs who came out in support of Shilpa Shetty Kundra amid Raj Kundra pornography case

Shilpa Shetty recently broke her silence on hubby Raj Kundra's arrest in an alleged pornography case. The actress took to her Instagram handle to issue a statement on behalf of her and her family members. Shetty said that she will not comment on the case as it is subjudice. She even requested the media for some privacy saying the past few days have been challenging for her "on every front". Her statement comes after the Bombay High Court reportedly refused to restrict media and social media platforms from publishing reports which talk about her. The court reportedly told the Bollywood actress that she has chosen a public life. A few Bollywood celebrities have come out in support of the actress. Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Rakul Preet Singh, Dia Mirza, Meezaan, Samir Soni, filmmaker Farah Khan, and Ranbir Kapoor's sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, were among those who 'liked' Shilpa's post.

Shilpa Shetty's sister Shamita has always been her support system. After Shilpa issued a statement on Instagram, Shamita dropped love and supported her elder sister amid the testing times. She commented, ''I love u my munki and with you always through thick n thin .. always @theshilpashetty'', under her post. When Shilpa's film was up for release on OTT platform, the 'Zeher' actress had penned a long note for her sister.

Apart from her family, filmmaker Hansal Mehta was one of the first stars who came out in support of the actress. Hansal tweeted, "If you cannot stand up for her at least leave Shilpa Shetty alone and let the law decide? Allow her some dignity and privacy. It is unfortunate that people in public life ultimately are left to fend for themselves and are proclaimed guilty even before justice is meted out." He further wrote, ''This silence is a pattern. In good times everybody parties together. In bad times there is deafening silence. There is isolation. No matter what the ultimate truth is, the damage is already done."

After Hansal Mehta, Richa stood in support of Shilpa Shetty. She retweeted the filmmaker's tweet and wrote, "We've made a national sport out of blaming women for the mistakes of the men in their lives. Glad she's suing." The actress is quite vocal when it comes to standing for matters of importance on social media.

After Shilpa issued a statement, R Madhavan was one of the stars who extended support to the actress on social media. He commented, ''You are one of the strongest people I know and I have complete faith that this challenge too you will overcome with grace and dignity. Our prayers always with you and your family.''
