Saawariya (2007)

Though it marked the much-hyped debut of Ranbir and Sonam Kapoor, Saawariya failed at the box office. But Monty Sharma’s soundtrack, especially “Jab Se Tere Naina” and “Yoon Shabnami,” continues to be praised for its dreamy, classical charm.

Khamoshi: The Musical (1996)

Despite powerful performances, Khamoshi flopped. However, its music by Jatin–Lalit—including “Aaj Main Upar” and “Baahon Ke Darmiyan”—became a defining moment in 90s Bollywood music.

3/5

Lamhe (1991)

Yash Chopra’s bold love story didn’t do well in India, but its Shiv–Hari-composed soundtrack became evergreen. Songs like “Kabhi Main Kahoon” and “Morni Baga Ma” remain beloved by fans of soulful 90s melodies.

4/5

Tamasha (2015)

Imtiaz Ali’s offbeat romantic drama didn’t see mainstream success, but the soundtrack touched hearts. “Agar Tum Saath Ho” and “Matargashti” remain fan favorites

5/5

Dil Se (1998)

A commercial underperformer, Mani Ratnam’s Dil Se gifted Bollywood one of its most iconic albums. A.R. Rahman’s “Chaiyya Chaiyya,” “Jiya Jale,” and “Satrangi Re” have transcended time, making the music more successful than the film itself.
