Tannishtha Chatterjee, the prolific Indian actress and filmmaker, celebrated the triumph of her film, ‘Full Plate,’ as she is set to attend the prestigious Busan International Film Festival 2025 for its world premiere. Ahead of the journey around the globe, the 44-year-old indulged in embraces and delicacies with her friends from the film industry.

A heartfelt video features Tannishtha's friends, including Shabana Azmi, Divya Dutta, Urmila Matondkar, Shahana Goswami, and many more, cheering for her with the chants of ‘Tiger Tan’ and applause. Appreciating the ‘Parched’ actress for the glory in the middle of a cancer battle, the girl group shared laughs, cake, and empowering words.
“Our beautiful girl. Our darling Tiger Tan is heading to @busanfilmfest with her film. And we are thrilled. And so so proud,” the caption claimed, adding the encouraging message of them having her back. Meanwhile, in another post, Shabana Azmi penned a note that revealed Chatterjee finished her directorial venture during her cancer treatment. “You rock of Gibraltar,” she mentioned in her Instagram post.

About 'Full Plate'

For the unversed, ‘Full Plate’ is the film written and directed by Chatterjee, starring Kriti Kulhari, Sharib Hashmi, Monica Dogra, and Indraneil Sengupta. In late August, the filmmaker posted the announcement in a social media post, thanking her incredible crew and cast for supporting her during the vulnerable time.
“This film is the result of pure grit and total commitment from the entire team who stood strong through not just my health crisis, but the incredibly tough conditions under which we made this film. Needless to say, Indie films are always a challenge to pull off, and this one really tested us,” she mentioned in her post. Tannishtha Chatterjee has been diagnosed with stage 4 oligo metastatic cancer. The actress is renowned for her prominent contribution to Indie films.
