Bappa’s brush with controversy

Bappa Lahiri has scored music for a couple of films and his next film is ready for release.
Bappa recalls how the beginning was not so good. Apparently he���s done the music for C Kkompany which also has another prominent music director doing a couple of songs.
All was well when he recorded and delivered the songs. But soon the news of Bappa being unceremoniously ���thrown out��� began doing the rounds.It was said that the other music director had been especially called to replace Bappa as his songs were not ���up to the mark���.
But friends like Tusshar Kapoor came to his rescue and cleared the air. The so called ���rejected��� songs are the ones that are steadily climbing up the charts now. ���Initially I was quite upset and thought why is this happening to me? I knew someone was playing games with me. I wondered why would someone do that, I���m still so new in the industry. But I���m happy that it happened at this early stage and now I feel I really have to thank that person for boosting my confidence and adding that extra zing to my enthusiasm to do better,��� says Bappa.
