Iconic vocalist Asha Bhosle passed away in Mumbai on April 12 at age 92. On April 13, her family permitted admirers to offer their final tributes at her home. Actor Tabu, cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, and his spouse Anjali joined in honoring the melody queen and comforting her granddaughter, Zanai Bhosle.

Sachin and Anjali were spotted chatting with Zanai and family members post-tribute. On Monday, music maestro AR Rahman and actor Asha Parekh also dropped by to pay homage among other well-wishers.

Asha Bhosle receives state honours

On Monday, Asha was at her Lower Parel home for loved ones to pay tribute. She was wrapped in an Indian flag to show respect. Videos show soldiers giving her state honours by covering her white lily-decorated casket with the tricolour. Final respects go on at her home till 3 PM. Then the funeral procession heads to the Shivaji Park crematorium in Dadar. Last rites happen at 4 PM.Asha Tai, as industry peers fondly called her, passed away on Sunday morning at Breach Candy Hospital due to multi-organ failure. She was hospitalized for a chest infection and extreme exhaustion.
Survivors include her son Anand Bhosle and granddaughter Zanai. After Sunday's news broke, condolences flooded the family, with shock rippling through many. Fans and celebrities mourned on social media, sharing treasured memories.

The veteran singer Asha, famous for timeless hits, lent her voice to her last song with the British band Gorillaz. Her feature on "The Shadowy Light" feels like a heartfelt swan song today. It also stars Gruff Rhys, flautist Ajay Prasanna, and sarod players Amaan and Ayaan Ali Bangash. She once called the track deeply meaningful, writing in her March Instagram post—the last one: “Visiting Varanasi and travelling along the most sacred river Ganges, observing closely what I saw, I understood the meaning of life, who I was and what I was supposed to do on earth.”
