'Animal' actor Siddhant Karnick reacts to Ranbir Kapoor-Rashmika Mandanna's 'bra-strap pulling' scene in the film: 'I understood the kinkiness'
Ever since 'Animal' has released, several scenes from the film have become a huge talking point. The internet cannot get over some scenes from the film and netizens have also taken offence to some parts of the movie. While the film may have smashed records at the box office and Ranbir Kapoor's performance was appreciated, 'Animal' had its share of criticism. From being called 'violent' to misogynistic, the film has got it all. One of the scenes from the film which grabbed eye balls, was the one where Ranbir Kapoor's character in the film, pulls his wife Rashmika Mandanna's bra strap and it hurts her. She then slaps him, while he is the one nursing her later.
Actor Siddhant Karnick who also got a lot of love for his performance in the movie as he played Ranbir's brother-in-law, has reacted to this bra-strap pulling scene. Siddhant was quoted saying in an interview with Bollywood Now, "I understood the kinkiness Ranbir’s character was trying to show with the bra strap. See there are terms called masochism and sadism, which are used in sexual orientation. That showed that Rashmika’s character could be a masochist. She was agreeable to that kind of act.”
He further defended the film and the characters saying, "We, as audience, feel that what was happening is wrong. But actually, in cinema, it’s between those two characters and it is right for them. So why are we judging that? They are telling us about the characters and what the characters like, it is up to them."
Earlier, in another interview, Siddhant had also reacted to the 'lick my shoe' scene in the film saying that, it is what portrayed the man’s psycho-ness. That he is good but he also has these deep dark traits. The actor admitted that he was also pretty unsettled with that scene first but now he realises that it was so good, it made people react.
'Animal' also starred Anil Kapoor, Triptii Dimri, Bobby Deol, Suresh Oberoi, Shakti Kapoor, Saloni Batra, Anshul Chauhan, among others.

No it's not right considering huge amount of sexual offences happening in this country. Illiterate Movies goers thinks whatever is shown on big screen is all real and ACCEPTABLE. Now, expect more people doing these sort of things with women in public places. I believe the censor board is corrupt else would have rejected 75% of this movie to be released.Read allPost comment
