Akshay Kumar was recently reported to have been locked in for the sequel to ‘Salaam-e-Ishq’, with Nikkhil Advani said to be directing the film. The rumour quickly gained grip among fans. However, these claims are untrue, as the actor is not associated with the project in any capacity.According to Pinkvilla, the sequel might happen or might not, but Akshay Kumar is not involved. The reports suggesting his involvement are completely baseless.‘Salaam-e-Ishq’, which released in 2007, gained popularity for its impressive ensemble cast featuring actors such as Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, John Abraham, Vidya Balan, Govinda, Anil Kapoor, Juhi Chawla, Akshaye Khanna and Sohail Khan.
