The incident happened during a high-action sequence for the film. The makers also released a behind-the-scenes video showing Kumar attempting a jump kick in the air before losing control on landing and getting hurt.

According to IANS, the makers on Thursday shared a BTS video from ‘Bhooth Bangla’ showing Akshay Kumar, known for doing his own stunts, performing a demanding action shot. The report said he was seen “performing a high-octane sequence, executing a dramatic jump kick mid-air.” It added, “However, while landing, he loses balance and falls, hurting himself in the process.”

The update has drawn attention because Kumar recently spoke about his dislike of using visual shortcuts in action scenes. He said he opposes using VFX and AI when they reduce the real thrill of action and make it look artificial. He has also said he prefers doing real stunts instead of depending on VFX or AI because audiences can feel the effort and authenticity on screen.

‘Bhooth Bangla’ release date and cast update

The film also stars Paresh Rawal, Asrani, Rajpal Yadav, and Wamiqa Gabbi. It was earlier set to open on April 10, but the team later changed the date. ‘Bhooth Bangla’ is now scheduled to release in theaters on April 16.Co-producer Ektaa Kapoor announced the shift on Instagram and linked the move to the strong box office run of Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’. In her post, she wrote, “After a collective call with our distributors and the exhibitors, we have decided on a new release date for ‘Bhooth Bangla’, 16 April, with the first show starting at 9 pm. ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ performing exceptionally well is heartening news for our film industry and the exhibitors feel that this shift will allow both films the space, focus and attention they deserve. The ‘Bhooth Bangla’ team looks forward to welcoming you in cinemas on April 16, 9 pm onwards”.‘Bhooth Bangla’ is presented by Balaji Motion Pictures, a division of Balaji Telefilms Ltd, in association with Cape of Good Films. The film is produced by Akshay Kumar, Shobha Kapoor, and Ektaa R Kapoor, and directed by Priyadarshan.
