Last week was indeed joyous for the Shetty family. Athiya Shetty tied the knot with her long-time cricketer boyfriend KL Rahul in a dreamy ceremony at father Suniel Shetty's bungalow in Khandala. The pictures of the same have taken social media by storm and fans can't get enough of the adorable duo, who looked perfect for each other at the beautiful ceremony.

Amidst a multitude of gorgeous pics shared on social media of the pre and post wedding ceremonies, one pic that caught our attention was that shared by Athiya's best friend Akansha Ranjan Kapoor.In the image, Akansha seems really happy for her best friend as she is about to give her a hug. Sharing the image on her IG stories, Akansha gave a hilarious twist to the same and wrote, “Pleading and crying to @athiyashetty for wedding photos.”

Athiya and Rahul announced their wedding on insta and wrote, "In your light, I learn how to love…” Today, with our most loved ones, we got married in the home that’s given us immense joy and serenity. With a heart full of gratitude and love, we seek your blessings on this journey of togetherness.”

Doting father Suniel Shetty also shared some pics from the pre-wedding ceremony recently. He said, "You had me wrapped around your finger since the day you were born and now you have me dancing to your tunes … love you my baby … stay blessed always 🖤@athiyashetty."

The Athiya-KL Rahul wedding was an intimate affair with only close friends and family.
