Ajay Devgn unveiled the awe-inspiring journey of his late father, Veeru Devgan, on a revealing episode of Koffee With Karan Season 8. Highlighting his father's evolution from adversity to becoming a celebrated director and action choreographer, Ajay shed light on Veeru's extraordinary path to success.

During the show, Karan Johar queried Ajay about his father's recognition in the industry. Responding promptly, Ajay expressed, "Eventually," before delving into Veeru Devgan's compelling life story.Ajay recounted Veeru's daring escape from his home in old Punjab at the tender age of 13, arriving in Mumbai without a train ticket and facing imprisonment due to his destitute circumstances. Struggling to make ends meet, Veeru encountered an unexpected opportunity when a benevolent soul offered him shelter in exchange for washing a cab daily.
"Starting from there, he eventually became a carpenter," Ajay revealed. However, Veeru's life took an unexpected turn when he found himself embroiled in the tumultuous gang dynamics of the Sion-Koliwada area while continuing his carpentry work.Fate intervened when a senior action director, Mr. Ravi Khanna, stumbled upon Veeru during a street altercation. Impressed by Veeru's innate fighting abilities, Khanna offered him an incredible opportunity, stating, "Tu ladta acha hai, come and meet me tomorrow," marking the genesis of Veeru's journey into the world of action choreography.

Veeru Devgan's illustrious career spanned over 200 Indian films, contributing significantly to movies like 'Roti Kapada Aur Makaan,' 'Phool Aur Kaante,' 'Mr. Natwarlal,' and 'Ram Teri Ganga Maili.'
