Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's 'Dhol Baaje' to Alia Bhatt's 'Dholida': 5 songs from Bollywood that will remain on top this Navratri!

Hindi cinema is synonymous with song-and-dance as music plays such an important aspect of the Indian culture. Hence, Hindi movies usually strive at creating music that shall remain a favourite amongst popular culture and add to the festive vibes. Moreover, 'garba' and 'navratri' will always be golden opportunities for songs to find a place in the hearts of the masses. Here's listing some songs that shall continue to remain on the top of the 'favourites' list this Navratri.

2/6

'Dholida' from 'Gangubai Kathiawadi'

'Gangubai Kathiawadi' released this year, but every Garba lover has been anxiously waiting to groove to this one. The hook step became so popular with everyone making a reel on 'Dholida'. This song composed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and sung by Janhvi Shrimankar and Shail Hada is the new favourite and will be on the top of Navratri playlist this season. No, and it's not going anywhere in the next few years. Kruti Mahesh did quite a fine job with its choreography and hook step which people are surely going to emulate this season.

3/6

'Dholi Taaro Dhol Baje' from 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam'

This song is evergreen even though it's been more than two decades since 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam' released. The vibrant vibe of the song, picturisation, costumes and the lovely beats with Ismail Darbar's composition - make this one an irreplaceable number on this list. Sung by Kavita Krishnamurthy, Vinod Rathod, Karsan Sargathia, how can 'Dholi Taaro Dhol Baje' not be in this list? Considering his songs stuck to the roots and core of Gujarati culture, Bhansali makes sure to give us the best 'garba' songs.

4/6

'Nagada Sang Dhol' from 'Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ramleela'

'Nagada Sang Dhol Baje' has found its place in the hearts of the 'garba' lovers unanimously. The hook step of the song is also copied and it definitely brings in a different level of energy among the crowd. The pandemic has led to Navratri being a low affair in the last two years - and now that the festive spirit is back this year, this song will most definitely find its place again! It's also shot beautifully with Bhansali working his magic.

5/6

'Boom Padi' from 'Maja Ma'

'Boom Padi' has just been released few days back so, it's not as popular as the rest on this list yet. But owing to its peppy beats and 'garba' essence intact, it's going to certainly grow on the crowd this Navratri and will be played everywhere. Moreover, it's filmed on Madhuri Dixit and that gives it another reason for the dance lovers to get hooked to its steps - especially those who grew up seeing and emulating the dancing diva dance every Navratri from the 90s.

6/6

Chogada from 'Loveyatri'

Despite the fact that 'Chogada' was a remake of the original folk song, 'Hey Ranglo' composed by Avinash Vyas - the new beats and additional lyrics along with the super vocals from Darshan Raval and Asees Kaur have made this one a popular Navratri number in the last few years. It's literally a earworm and on everyone's minds! One expects this one to continue its run even this Navratri.
