'After Rakhi Sawant, Malaika Arora, Deepika Padukone…': Farah Khan on Samara Sahni asking to reshoot vlog over wet hair
Farah Khan and her cook Dilip recently visited Riddhima Kapoor Sahni’s Delhi home to shoot a new vlog episode. Riddhima’s daughter Samara also joined in, charming everyone with her confidence. Impressed by her presence and eye for visuals, Farah joked that Samara could be a future Bollywood leading lady.
As soon as Samara walked into the frame, she asked if she could check the monitor to see how she looked. Hearing this, Farah laughed and said, “Yeh ladki heroine banegi (This girl will become a heroine).” She then assured Samara that she looked perfect and told her team, “Make sure the lighting is good on her face, no under-eyes should show.” When Samara suggested doing another take, Farah jokingly replied, “We don’t have the budget to shoot everything twice.”
Farah Khan also brought up a recent viral video where Samara Sahni looked like she was “sulking” while posing with Riddhima Kapoor and Neetu Singh. Explaining, Riddhima said, “The thing with Samara is, whenever she’s in front of the camera, she tries to pull off the ‘blue steel look’. It makes her seem angry.” Samara quickly corrected her mother, saying, “Guys, please, let a girl have a resting face. It’s not a problem.”
Seeing herself on the monitor, Samara asked, “Why is my hair so wet? My hair is dry now. Should we reshoot?” Farah Khan agreed and said, “Entry, take two, of the biggest star of the Kapoor khandan, Samara!” After Samara’s reentry, Farah applauded her but clarified that they wouldn’t reshoot the entire sequence.
“Samara, I can officially say that I’ve launched you. After Rakhi Sawant, Malaika Arora, Deepika Padukone, and Dilip, I’m launching Ms Samara,” Farah joked. When she asked which surname Samara planned to use—Kapoor or Sahni—Samara chose Sahni. “I think that’s perfect. Samara Sahni has a nice ring to it,” Farah added.
