Addinath Kothare who was recently seen playing the role of
Dilip Vengsarkar in
Kabir Khan's
83
has now signed a project with producer-director
Rohan Sippy. The actor when contacted said, “After the success of City of Dreams, which was with
Nagesh Kukunoor and after Kabir Khan's 83, I am doing a project with Rohan Sippy. It is a Hindi project and I cannot reveal the details just yet.”
Addinath is also a director and has won the National Award for his Marathi film Paani, which was produced by
Priyanka Chopra. Addinath had earlier mentioned that he plans to release Paani in theatres now. He had said, “We are working on the plan. We made it in two years during the pandemic. I am in touch with the production team.
Anand Malpani
is overseeing things and Priyanka is in touch with Anand. We are exploring all options. Hopefully, we should be able to release the film this year.”
The actor-director had also previously revealed that he will be focusing on digital content, ads, and independent films through a new company that he’s recently setup. There’s one film that he’s produced, which got selected at the international co-production market in Film Bazaar. Kothare is also doing a web series for Sony LIV, which he will act in and direct as well.
