Speaking to ANI, Arbaaz shared, "Law and order should be strengthened. The accused should be given the strictest punishment... If people do such things, they are going to be punished, and the law is not going to spare them."

Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Laxmi Narayan Tripathi also did not hold back in her condemnation of the incident, demanding nothing short of a death sentence for the perpetrator. "The person who committed this heinous act should be sentenced to death. I request that our central and state governments implement capital punishment for r*pe, and anyone who violates the modesty of women and little girls should be given the death penalty. Only then will people stop doing such things," she told the media.

The outrage followed reports that a four-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted and murdered by a 65-year-old man from the same locality in a village in Pune district.
Accused arrested after CCTV footage surfaces
According to Pune Rural Superintendent of Police
Sandeep Singh Gill, this is not the first time the accused has faced such allegations; two similar cases are already registered against him. He was arrested shortly after the incident came to light, following the girl's disappearance. As her relatives launched a frantic search, CCTV footage emerged showing the accused with the child, leading to his swift arrest.
Maharashtra Deputy CM Eknath Shinde condemns the incident
Earlier this week, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde was among the prominent voices condemning the heinous crime. He pulled no punches in his condemnation, calling the incident "extremely unfortunate" and making his stance on punishment abundantly clear. "The atrocity has been committed against a 4-year-old girl. The accused have no right to live. They are habitual offenders who should be given the death penalty," he told the media.
