5 times Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli spoke about their daughter Vamika

Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli are reportedly expecting their second child soon. Although they are yet to make a formal announcement, leaked pictures and videos of Anushka, flaunting her baby bump during her various outings with Virat have been doing the rounds on social media.

Following the birth of Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli's daughter in January 2021, fans were busy picking and suggesting names for their baby girl. Many also believed that the couple would name their daughter 'Virushka', the combination of their names coined by fans. However, they named their bundle of joy, Vamika. During an interactive session with fans, when Virat was asked about the meaning of the name Vamika, he had revealed, 'Vamika is another name for Goddess Durga'.

Anushka and Virat are undoubtedly one of the doting parents we have in Bollywood. The couple has refrained from posing for pictures with Vamika when in public and has also not shared any picture of her on Instagram where her face is visible. Talking about how her presence has altered their lives, Anushka wrote in a post, 'We HAVE lived together with love, presence and gratitude as a way of life but this little one, Vamika has taken it to a whole new level! Tears, laughter, worry, bliss – emotions that have been experienced in a span of minutes sometimes! Sleep is elusive but are ours are SO full.'

Anushka Sharma, during one of her interviews, revealed that Vamika is her ‘true and undiluted happiness’. The actress added that when Vamika sees that she has successfully made her laugh, she repeats the action over and over, to make her laugh again. According to Anushka, she is very young and tries really hard. And when she begins laughing, she enjoys it tremendously. The actress admitted that she finds this simple act of Vamika really touching.

During an event, Anushka had said that she and Virat have realised that between the two of them, Vamika needs her more. She said that she knows her daughter needs a lot more of her time at this age. The actress added that Virat is a great father. He is very involved as a parent. However, Vamika is at that age where she just needs her mommy more.

Vamika has her mommy Anushka wrapped around her little fingers. While the adorable kiddo has taken equally from her parents, the actress feels that Vamika is determined like her. Speaking about the same, Anushka had said that she finds her extremely determined. According to Anushka, if Vamika wants to do something then she’s going to do it, and it’s going to serve some purpose for her in life. Anushka added that it is nice to see that because she was like that too.
