Riteish Deshmukh starrer historical drama ‘Raja Shivaji’ has been keeping the cash registers ringing at the box office. Released on May 1, the film has Riteish in three key roles - writer, director and actor; and he has been able to subtly balance among all of them. Coming to its box office numbers, the latest trade reports show that the movie soared high during its second weekend. 'Raja Shivaji' box office collection day 10
According to Sacnilk, on its day 10, i.e. second Sunday, the movie added Rs 6.80 crore net to the tally. This number comes from 4,063 shows, and represents a 21.4 per cent growth from Saturday's net earnings of Rs 5.60 crore. This brings India's net collection of ‘Raja Shivaji’ to Rs 68.25 crore so far. Further, the India gross collection has been pushed to Rs 81.00 crore.

Riteish Deshmukh on the Rs 100 crore budget chatter
The overwhelming response to the movie left Ritiesh Deshmukh grateful for all the love and appreciation. However, amid the success, there has been a lot of chatter around the movie's alleged Rs 100 crore budget. Deshmukh didn’t think twice before addressing the matter. He told Hindustan Times, "About the figures floating around about Raja Shivaji's budget, only the producers know the real budget. The last thing we need to do as filmmakers is to discuss the budget of a film because it doesn't affect anything."
