As a star kid, hearing rumours about my parents isn't new: Tina Ahuja

Tina Ahuja

Tina Ahuja, daughter of actor Govinda, took a conscious pause from acting after Second Hand Husband and an OTT venture to explore entrepreneurship. Currently spending a few weeks in Chandigarh, Tina has been embracing North Indian winters, layered in cosy woollens, braving the chill, and sipping on hot chocolate.I love winter fashion“I love winters,” Tina says. “My go-to comforts are hot milk with ghee and kesar, hot chocolate, gajar ka halwa, soups and warm stir-fried veggies. Fashion-wise, I like to keep it colourful yet cosy—scarves, hoodies, gloves and French coats when I travel. I love layering; it’s stylish and practical.” She adds, “For a Mumbai girl like me, Chandigarh and Punjab winters hit damn hard,” she laughs. “But work keeps me here, so I’ve adapted—warm water, heaters and lots of layers. It’s survival mode, but I’m getting used to it.”'Chandigarh becomes my peaceful escape'“I usually come here for work, but whenever Mumbai gets overwhelming, Chandigarh becomes my peaceful escape. The city brings joy—the vibe is warm, I love driving around, and the food is amazing. Hotels here really balance my love for food with my diet—paneer tikka, kathi rolls, chai with churi and kulcha. I also discovered some lovely restaurants in Sector 9.
These little moments become my best memories.”On dealing with rumours about her parents“I’ve grown up in the industry, so hearing rumours about my parents or other actors isn’t new,” Tina says candidly. “At this point, if I know something isn’t true, I choose to ignore it. You learn to be thick-skinned, move on, and focus on your own work.”
