Shyam Benegal speaks to film enthusiasts at a filmi do in Pune

Veteran director and scriptwriter Shyam Benegal was in the city recently.
The filmmaker who is a frequent visitor to the city, shared his thoughts on cinema and how there is no shortage of talent in the industry. To promote a film festival - Benegal @ Work, the seven times National Award winner is currently working on a ten-part series titled - 'The Story of the Making of the Constitution of India - Samvidhaan' based on the Indian constitution talks about today's filmmakers, social issues in India and actresses who can justify women-centric films.
Benegal has directed films like 'Mandi', 'Bazaar' and 'Welcome to Sajjanpur' among many of his other acclaimed works.
