This was one creative night!

The 5th Mirchi Kaan Awards took place on Friday night at a suburban fivestar, and as promised, it was a night of talent, plenty of creative streaks and loads of entertainment.
But then, when almost the entire advertising fraternity is gathered under one roof, you should expect the unexpected. The jury consisted of some of the most celebrated names from the ad world ��� Prasoon Joshi, Prahlad Kakar, K V Sridhar, K S Chakravarti, Ravi Deshpande, Josy Paul, among others ��� and they were all there to celebrate excellence in creative radio advertising.
Unlike other award nights where you have a gamut of performances from various stars, here, the entire show was shouldered by anchor Vir Das. Kudos to him for stealing the show with his little-below-the-belt jokes, and no one complained, instead, the audience cheered him on!
The theme for the night was ���March against mediocrity��� and one has to agree, not one award that was given away went to any person who might have even remotely been mediocre. The nominations (and winners) were indeed commendable. Also there to support the winners were PFMI-World 2008 Parvati Omanakuttan, PFMI-Universe 2008 Simran Kaur Mundi and PFMI-Earth 2008 Tanvi Vyas. Quite a colourful night, this!
