The all-American bonhomie and intrinsic Indian hospitality blended beautifully as Atul Nishar, President of Namaste America — Indo American Association for Art & Culture, hosted a fond farewell party for popular US Consul General Paul Folmsbee on Wednesday night. The formal part of the night included short speeches by Adi Godrej, Neeraj Bajaj, Pramit Jhaveri and Dr Indu Shahani, Sheriff of Mumbai, all paying rich compliments to the contribution of Folmsbee.
And then it was razzle-dazzle time with Shiamak Davar’s dance troupe dazzling the packed room with a splendid show. Experiencing this song-and-dance show were a mix of industrialists, corporate CEOs and US consulate staff including David Tyler, chief, consular section. Dr Alka Nishar,
Arti and Kailash Surendranath, Suneeta Rao,
Simone Singh and Fahad Samar, Sandhya Shetty, Kaushik Shrimanker,
Dalip Tahil, Naaz Javeri and many more were all there. After a delightful dinner, guests moved on to the dance floor. Even Paul Folmsbee shook a leg. Yes, it was a night to remember.
