From desks to decades: 25 yrs later, old friends meet again
Old boys from the batches of 1998 and 2000 reunited after 25 years at St Francis College, marking a milestone gathering for the alumni. Over 140 former students attended the Silver Jubilee reunion along with their families, with participants travelling from across India and overseas, including the USA, the UK, Australia, UAE and Indonesia.
The college grounds once again echoed with laughter, cheers, and friendly rivalry as alumni relived their student days. Wearing the college tie and House T-shirt, the alumni were transported back to their school years.
The reunion blossomed into an elegant evening soirée, which commenced with the alumni singing the National Anthem, followed by the college anthem. Adding to the significance of the occasion was the presence of nearly 20 former teachers, standing amidst their once-young students now accomplished professionals in their own right.
Abhinav Khanna, one of the anchors behind the reunion, said, “The focus was on bringing people back together in the same space where our journeys began and acknowledging the role teachers played in shaping us.”
