Kolkata connections

Come February and an award function, Celebrating Kolkata, will be honouring eminent personalities of the city for contribution in their respective fields. The event, slated for February 14, will begin at 7.30 pm at Calcutta Club. The awards have been jointly initiated by Spandan, Jyotee Khaitan, Patton and Calcutta Club.
Renu Roy, executive director of Spandan, said, “We are trying to do this event annually.” The evening will also see a performance by Anjan Dutt and son Neel and a fashion show by Jyotee Khaitan, apart from an art exhibition by the club members.
Jyotee’s ethnic ensemble, specially designed for the occasion, will be showcased by the Who’s Who from the cultural circuit. “I have designed each outfit (saris and kurtas) keeping in mind the person’s age and persona,” the designer informed. Prosenjit Chatterjee, Bickram Ghosh, Priyanshu Chatterjee, Sabyasachi Chakraborty, Tanusree Shankar, Victor Banerjee, Koel Mallick, Rituparna Sengupta, Dona Ganguly, Arjun Chakraborty, Arindam Sil, June, Locket Chatterjee, Alokananda Roy, Moubani Sorcar, Jaya Seal Ghosh, Priti Patel, Pallavi Chatterjee, Minu Bhudia, Rachna Banerjee among others will be
scorching the ramp.
The awardees are Aparna Sen, Rituparno Ghosh, Prosenjit Chatterjee, Suvaprasanna, Konkona Sen Sharma, Rituparna Sengupta, Mithun Chakraborty, Victor Banerjee, Koel Mallick, Sabyasachi Chakraborty, Gautam Mohan Chakraborty, Bickram Ghosh, Anjan Dutt, Priyanshu Chatterjee, Sourav Ganguly, Dona Ganguly, Wasim Kapoor, Sanjeev Goenka, Harsh Neotia, Rajiv Kaul, Rakhee Sarkar, Tanusree Shankar, YC Deveshwar, Goutam Ghose, Sabyasachi Mukherjee and others.
