Each of them might be a pro off the field, but when it comes to going ball-istic on the football field, clearly their skills are questionable.
But that doesn’t mean our entertainment frat lacks true sportsman spirit. This was evident in the exhibition para football match, organised by a private Bengali news channel. Cashing in on the FIFA frenzy, the exhibition match was scheduled between the semi-final and final in the World Cup series at the Mohun Bagan Club grounds.“The match had Artist Forum teaming up against footballers. Sadly, we lost. But it wasn’t before putting up a fight. As compared to professional footballers, we did play well,” said Suman Banerjee. Kaushik Chakraborty vouched for the good time he had on the day of the match. “We hardly get time to unwind. And this was one such rare occasion. Getting to play with National-level footballers, whom we have grown up idolising, is a treat in itself,” the actor said. Pota, on his part, added, “It was great fun. Everyone present had a blast. And being a pucca football freak, I enjoyed every moment of it.”
