A silver jubilee party in Kolkata

Odissi exponent Sutapa Talukdar’s dance academy celebrated its silver jubilee at a city club.
Among the guests, we spotted renowned poet Sankha Ghosh, artist Jogen Chowdhury, musician Pt Tejendra Narayan and of course Tollywood actors Sreelekha Mitra and Rituparna Sengupta.
A disciple of Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra, Sutapa has also dabbled in various other forms of classical dance like Manipuri and Bharatanatyam.Her initiation in Odissi was under the tutelage of Muralidhar Majhi, a well-known dance instructor in Kolkata.
