Khel Khel Mein Box Office Day 36: Akshay Kumar starrer earns less than Rs 2 crore in 5th week
Akshay Kumar has been part of the movie business for more than 30 years now, but his current slate of films have struggled to make a mark at the box office. However, his latest film Khel Khel Mein has not only shown resilience to survive the onslaught caused by Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao’s Stree 2, but also completed 5 weeks at the box office.

Over its four week run, Khel Khel Mein has garnered Rs 35.75 crore, and saw a decent performance during its fifth weekend. The film began its fifth week on a slow note, when it earned only Rs 20 lakh on Friday, but on Saturday the collections jumped by 135 % to collect Rs 47 lakh, and on Sunday, jumped by another 24 % to collect Rs 58 lakh. But Monday onwards, the collections began to dip with Monday earning Rs 20 lakh to Tuesday collecting Rs 22 lakh. On Wednesday and Thursday, the numbers were Rs 16 lakh and 11 lakh respectively, thus taking the week 5 numbers to Rs 1.96 crore, and overall collection of the film to Rs 37.69 crore.Despite the weak run, there is no shortage of projects for Akshay Kumar. On his birthday, he announced he is teaming up with Priyadarshan after 14 years, there are also talks about doing a film with Siddharth Anand. Besides that, he’s got Singham Again, Sky Force, Welcome to the Jungle, Jolly LLB 3, and The Untold Story of C. Sankaran Nair.Khel Khel Mein, directed by Mudassar Aziz, boasts a star-studded cast including Fardeen Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Ammy Virk, Vaani Kapoor, Pragya Jaiswal, and Aditya Seal.
