Kolkata’s closeness to anything to do with culture is well-known. It’s, therefore, no surprise when post-Tagorean writings were juxtaposed with the universal appeal of Tagore’s songs, the result would be a unique ensemble of modern Bengali poetry combined with Rabindrasangeet. The city played host to such a cultural event, recently where Sujoy Prosad Chatterjee and Chaitali Dasgupta recited Jibanananda and Premendra Mitra.
Pramita Mallick rendered Tagore songs. Barun Chanda was spotted in the audience.
