Aravindan Puraskaram awarded to Zakariya Mohammed

The 28th Aravindan Puraskaram instituted by Chalachithra Film Society for best debutant film maker 2018 was handed over to Zakariya Mohammed for his most popular flick, Sundani from Nigeria. The award was presented to the young director on the 28th death anniversary of veteran director G Aravindan at an event held at Kalabhavan theatre.
Congratulating the winner was filmmaker Syamaprasad, Adoor Gopalakrishan, G Rajamohan, Shankar, Vijayakrishnan and former minister MA Baby.However, the renowned award came as a double delight for Zakariya as his film also bagged awards in various categories in 49th Kerala State Film Awards.
