Khushi Khandelwal's debut solo exhibition delves into the unseen landscape of anxiety
Artist Khushi Khandelwal is set to unveil her first solo art exhibition, What’s Under My Skin??, from July 18 to July 24 in New Delhi. The exhibition, open to the public from 11am to 7pm daily, invites viewers into a deeply personal exploration of mental and emotional terrain.
Moving beyond surface aesthetics, the exhibition serves as a visual investigation into the invisible weight of anxiety and internal struggle. Through this body of work, Khushi attempts to portray anxiety as a parasite–an internal presence that consumes from within yet remains hidden from view.
“This is my first solo show, and it’s both nerve-wracking and exhilarating,” Khushi shares. “The idea stemmed from thinking about how anxiety grows quietly inside us. It’s not something people see unless the surface is torn open. This exhibition is my way of opening that up–of showing what’s really going on beneath.”
While Khushi has participated in group exhibitions in the past, this marks a pivotal step in her journey as an artist, bringing forth her most introspective and emotionally resonant work to date.

Khushi's art
Blending realism with abstraction, and metaphor with material, her artworks probe themes of emotional vulnerability and psychological exposure. Using an intuitive combination of pencils, paints, pastels, and markers, the artist creates richly layered, textured compositions where feeling dictates form. Each work stands on its own, yet collectively the pieces form a narrative of silent battles and emotional reckoning.“This is my first solo show, and it’s both nerve-wracking and exhilarating,” Khushi shares. “The idea stemmed from thinking about how anxiety grows quietly inside us.
