A satirical play titled ‘Andhon ka Haathi’ was staged at Ravindra Manch auditorium in Jaipur as part of the recently held short-play festival ‘Halla Bol’ by IPTA Jaipur and Sangeet Natak Akademi, Delhi. Directed by Sanjay Vidrohi, the play is a satirical story written by renowned satirist
Sharad Joshi. The play is based on the famous tale ‘The Blind Men And The Elephant' and has a satirical take on the politicians and how they handle the affairs of the country.

The play’s narrative revolves around five blind people and an elephant. The narrator of the play brings an elephant before the blind people and asks them to recognise what it is by touching it. Each blind man feels a different part of the elephant's body, but only one part, such as the side or the tusk and describe it accordingly.
Each character on stage was a symbol connected to society. The narrator was symbolic to anxious common man of the nation, while the blind people represented the political leaders, their attitude towards the issues concerning the society and more. On the other hand, the elephant was a metaphor for issues that goes unrecognized and unresolved. The play also had moments of laughter.
