The 13th edition of the Jaipur Marathon, scheduled to be held on February 6, has now been postponed to March 13th.
Due to surge in COVID cases, organisers have decided to postpone the date of the event in which runners across the nation and world participate.
This annual event, organized by the Sanskriti Yuva Sansthan, held every year on the first Sunday of February for the last twelve years.
In view of the increasing COVID situations and cases, the event has been postponed to 13th of March. Pandit Suresh Mishra, president of Sanskriti Yuva Sanstha shares, "The Jaipur Marathon, which is the biggest festival of running, is celebrated by the world with Jaipur. Every year runners from the world participate in it. As the virus continues to spread, we have decided to postpone it. This time it will be an on-ground event as per the Covid protocols, as well as a virtual event."
Mukesh Mishra, CEO, Jaipur Marathon says, "This year the event will witness many pre-events, including a campaign to promote and spread the awareness for COVID vaccination, and lifestyle diseases.
