This perhaps best explains the sentiments of the community of Jhanki makers who make the narrow lanes of Snehlataganj their home around the festival of Ganeshotsav. Keeping the old tradition of Indore alive is witness to their history and legacy of turning the scrap pieces into beautiful jhankis for the street show in Rajwada. A stroll down these colorful lanes will take you to places where you can see people with paint brushes, pencils and rulers. Our trail brought us face to face with people and old families of mill workers who always spend this time of the year in making tableaux and keeping the age old tradition alive for future generations.
