Present at a pre-pujo event in Kolkata, actress Lahoma Bhattacharya expressed her concern over the situation in Kolkata. The RG Kar rape and murder case has not just shaken the city but has also brought everything to a standstill. At an event while judging a sit-and-draw, and cooking contest the actress reflected on the importance of women safety in the city and said, “Pujo is almost here but the city is grieving. I hope, this Durga Puja, the positivity within us beats the darkness and evil around us. It is time to celebrate but we all know that our hearts are heavy.”
