The who’s who of Hyderabad’s cultural fraternity gathered at a city art gallery to marvel at an exhibition of memorabilia and paraphernalia showcasing four decade-long journey of Shankarananda Kalakshetra, a dance school founded by the legendary Ananda Shankar Jayant in 1979.
Titled ‘Aharya Darpanam — Reflections on a creative journey’, the three-day exhibition that concluded on Sunday was curated by
Padma Shri awardee Ananda Shankar Jayant, Ganesh Nallari and G Muralidhar.
From costumes, designs, props to photographs on display left the visitors enthralled. The guest list was replete with a host of prominent names such scientist D Balasubramanian, art critic Ranee Kumar, dancer Deepika Reddy and prominent artist Surya Prakash, among others.
