Dr. Mohana Rao Patibandla honoured with Best Minimally Invasive Neurosurgeon Award at Abdul Kalam Inspiration Awards 2025
Dr. Mohana Rao Patibandla, a leading neurosurgeon from Andhra Pradesh, has been honoured with the “Best Minimally Invasive Neurosurgeon, Spine Surgeon and Stereotactic Neurosurgeon” award at the Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Inspiration Awards 2025, organised by Topnotch Foundation in New Delhi.
The felicitation ceremony took place at Hotel The LaLiT, where eminent personalities including Brij Bhushan and Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda were present as chief guests. The award was conferred in recognition of Dr. Patibandla’s pioneering contributions to advanced neurosurgical procedures in India, including minimally invasive brain and spine surgeries and stereotactic radiosurgery.
The official citation, presented on stage, highlighted Dr. Patibandla’s achievements in transforming complex neurosurgical care and expanding access to modern medical technologies in India. Dr. Patibandla has undergone extensive neurosurgical training in the United States and India, and currently leads Dr. Rao’s Hospital in Guntur, a specialised centre for brain, spine and nerve care. Over the years, he has performed numerous complex procedures and played a key role in introducing advanced minimally invasive skull base and spine surgery techniques in Andhra Pradesh.

Abdul Kalam, a visionary who continues to inspire every Indian,” Dr. Patibandla said after receiving the honour. “This recognition belongs to my entire team who work tirelessly to provide world-class neurosurgical care to patients.”
