After a successful exhibition at the Jehangir Art Gallery Auditorium, Mumbai, in August, which featured artwork by masters, senior and contemporary artists, Cobalt Arts is now hosting its next show, Antarang, at Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi from October 12 to 18 at Gallery 1 and 2. The show was inaugurated by former Indian cricket captain
Mohammad Azharuddin. Art connoisseurs will get to view abstract as well as figurative works at the group show.
Works by Indian masters and senior artists are also being showcased.
Cobalt Arts is the brainchild of Neeta Pathare who herself is an artist, a curator and an art critic. Having been in this field for 12 years, she is aware of the challenges and makes an attempt to address them and contribute to the growth of the art world. This art promotion agency organises exhibitions across India and the globe and tries to strengthen the traditional ways of exhibiting artwork. Their next show is in Dubai in April, 2016.
Neeta says, “The aim of Cobalt Arts is to create a platform where contemporary artists can share the same platform with senior artists and masters. An individual needs to connect with an artwork to buy it, as buying art is an experience. But now the traditional way of buying art is gradually changing with today’s digital era where people can buy art online as well, but the experience of buying art in person cannot be undermined. Unlike any other product, art is not consumed, it is lived with.”
