Gurgaon hosted a puppet show for adults, Kya Jeena Bin Tere, at Epicentre recently. “This is the second time we’re showcasing this puppet show and we’ve received a great response each time. Bollywood Bandwagon makes you stand on the edge of a film set, watching the goings on, without any coloured glasses. But gradually, the play makes its way into the more intimate spaces of the industry – some secret, some forgotten and some taken for granted,” said Anurupa Roy, director of the show.
“I loved the show completely – especially the programming and aesthetics, which were done beautifully – something that I haven’t experienced before. Also, I found out that the puppets had all been made with recycleable material, which, again, is a fantastic thing,” said Anant Dalmia, present at the show.
“The adult puppet show was far better than I could have imagined. From the storyline to the dialogue delivery, as well as the actors as puppets, it was a great experience,” said Kavita Jai Singhani, who was there to attend the event.
