JMI architecture students participate in Bharat Parv 2026
The Department of Architecture of the Faculty of Architecture & Ekistics represented Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) at the coveted national platform Bharat Parv 2026 by participating in the exhibition curated by the Council of Architecture (CoA) during the Bharat Parv 2026 celebrations at the Red Fort on the occasion of India’s 77th Republic Day 2026.
This year the models of the Building Construction and Structures made by the B.Arch students were exhibited along with the work of documentation of Bhimakali Temple showcasing the Indian Knowledge system and Indian Temple Architecture.
The theme of the work aligns with India’s rich architectural heritage and underscores the vital role of architecture in shaping the nation’s cultural identity, built environment, and sustainable future. The display has been garnering wide appreciation and drawing visitors to the CoA exhibition space. This is serving as an important outreach of architecture to the public domain and will attract fresh talent from all the strata of society to this discipline.
The Council had successfully organised the "Srujan" Exhibition during Bharat Parv 2025, which received an overwhelming and encouraging response from visitors, professionals, and stakeholders. Building upon this successful experience and in continuation of the Council’s sustained efforts towards public outreach and awareness of architectural excellence, the Council again organized the "Srujan 2.0" Exhibition during Bharat Parv 2026, with enriched content, broader representation, and enhanced public engagement. The Department of Architecture had participated and represented JMI last year as well.Get the latest entertainment updates from the Times of India, along with the latest Hindi movies, upcoming Hindi movies in 2026 , and Telugu movies.”
