Dhoop ya barsaat nothing could dampen the spirit of the girls of Laxmi Bai College when Mr and Miss DT contest reached the college. While the sun played hide and seek, and it drizzled a little, the girls enjoyed nonetheless!
Sisterhood notwithstanding, girls here, especially seniors, were quite critical of what the juniors had to say. Some girls in the audience booed and told a contestant, Wapas aaja kudi, hum batate hain Miss DT banne ke liye kya chahiye. And a dancing belle was asked, Matakne ke alava aur kya aata hai?
DJ Khushi got the girls moving to Jee Karda and Chaliya and old numbers like Lal Chadi Maidan Khadi, Aye Meri Zohre Zabeen and Yahoo, Chahe Koi Mujhe Junglee Kahe were hits too.
And the LBC girls not only danced, they sang along as well!
Emcee Kanishk had the girls rolling with laughter when he mimicked the way some participants talked on stage. Whats more, he even rapped a little and his statements like Boys are pets, got a lot of applause from the crowd.
After the girls had displayed their dancing skills, it was time for Q&A. When asked about the one colour that she would like to colour the world in, Tanu Chawla said, It would have to be the colour of love. If love were to be the all-pervasive element, there would be no inequalities in the world. Thoughtful, we must say! When asked what she would do if she turns into a guy, Isha said, I would start hitting on girls, because thats how guys pass their time. Sara, very popular among the crowd, could not give a coherent answer to the question put to her. The question was whether girls and boys are now treated as equals in society.
Tanus reply won her the title of Miss DT, LBC. Devika, who thought that her chirpy attitude was hot was judged the first runner-up. Pretty girl Sara was declared the second runner-up. Ginni Gandhi, though quite a looker, could not make it to the top three. Shoot Talent Management model, Nishchay Miterr gave away the awards to the winners.
