Arjun, Simrit's wedding reception
Now, you wouldn’t expect the newlywed couple to exchange high-fives at their reception, would you? But Arjun Mathur and Simrit Malhi Mathur gave each other quite a few on theirs.
The comfort level that the two shared was very cool, and we couldn’t resist asking about the secret behind it. “Arre, we have been dating for about three- and-a-half years now,” quipped Arjun, who has movies like “My Name Is Khan” and “Luck By Chance” to his credit.
1x1 polls
Arjun is Simrit’s favourite actor! Said she, “I’m bowled over by his acting.” On hearing this, Arjun couldn’t have not said words in her praise. “I adore her smile, it’s just so beautiful,” said he and after the mutual admiration, the question of honeymoon came up. “We wouldn’t like to disclose details,” they said together and exchanged another high-five.
Bollywood? Nah! While many might expect Sonia, Arjun’s sister, to try her luck in Bollywood, she is happy being a wedding planner. “I don’t have any plans of joining Bollywood. I’m happy with what I’m doing,” she said.
kith and kin: For guests at this do, their family and friends surely came before their work. Maharaja Gaj Singh II shared with us, “It always feels great to catch up with old friends.” Dr Naveen Talwar too makes sure that he doesn’t miss out on any family gathering. “It is a fact that I remain busy most of the time, but I do attend all the important family functions,” Naveen said, and his wife Sonu nodded in agreement.
Nasir, the crook? That’s what you would call Nasir Abdullah if he happens to say, “I want to steal that neckpiece, it looks expensive,” to someone, right? In this case it was friend Renu Tawadey. She, who looked a little unhappy with Nasir and his jokes, said “It is sad that I have to stand next to him and put up with all that he says.”
