After the on-field action, it was time for another match-winning partnership off the field, as the owners and players of the Kolkata Knight Riders got together with their jewellery partners for IPL 4, Gitanjali Group, at a special do in Kolkata.
The two sides announced that they’re continuing their association of the last two years, and that the marriage between the two brands remained strong and steadfast.

As a symbol of this grand association, Nishit Mehta, president, Gitanjali Group, presented KKR owner Shah Rukh Khan, and the whole team, with glittering gold helmets designed to resemble Agni – the fire deity and the primary witness of a marriage – as a token of good luck and good will for IPL 4.
Even the ambience at the venue was designed to recreate a marriage pandal, with lights, band-baaja and baraatis. And prior to the presentation, a priest chanted mantras and blessed the golden helmets as symbols of prosperity and luck for both the parties, for the length of their association. The evening also featured a glamorous fashion show where Abhishek Dutta showcased his summer bridal collection. The collection uses Bengali weaves with antique zardozi embroidery and applique threadwork to define a look that fuses tradition and modernity.
