A musical evening by singer Karthik at the Music Academy, Chennai

The Margazhi season might have come to an end, but that doesn’t mean that the music has gone. With Pongal celebrated this week, there’s still music, and celebration, in the air. A recent concert by singer Karthik proved to be an occasion for not just listening to some superhit songs, but also one that was well attendedby other musicians who’d come to let their hair down.
Music composer Devi Sri Prasad, who is known for his fast-paced numbers, was spotted entering the venue with Mandolin Rajesh and also exchanged comments with him on the music. While directors Gautham Menon and Rajeev Menon were seen enjoying the melodies, cricketer and film actor Sadagopan Ramesh was also at the occasion.
