Celebrating Karwa chauth
A popular ladies’ club of Lucknow decided to celebrate this festival with all its members.
It was even more special when a popular ladies’ club decided to celebrate this festival of love with all its members and the do was not just for fun as it supported a cause.
Held in the lawns of a hobo club, the decor of the venue was indeed splendid with the stage beautifully done up with lots of flowers.
The ladies too came all decked up for the occasion. They sported vibrant shades saris sporting hairstyles of ‘60s (which was incidentally the theme).
Well this was not all, much was there in store to come. To add more fun to the sequence was a game Bol India Bol.
The selection of Mrs Karwa chauth witnessed the femme fatales strutting the runway on hit numbers belted out by the DJ while judges, Abha Singh and Preeti Singh scrutinised the contestants.
Preeti Chawla won the title for Mrs Charmimg while Divi Khanna’s dazzling jewellery got her the glittering jewellery crown. Pallavi Trivedi struck a double whammy by winning the Mrs Karwa chauth as well as Mrs Ethnic wear prizes. Anju Narain got the Mrs Mirchi title for her hot ‘n’ spicy style.
A big surprise was in store for the ladies as the men-folk left them astonished with their dances clad in a burqa on songs like Mere angne mein...
Kavita Nigam’s witty compering added that extra zing to the evening.
