Kavita Seth performs at a Sufi music festival in Bhopal

A Sufi music festival, Ishq Sufiyana, was recently organised by a city hotel at its premises that had singer Kavita Seth of Iktara and Tum Hi Ho Bandhu fame perform at the do.
Noted poets like Munnawar Rana, Rahat Indori and Krishna Beora entertained the audience with their Sufi presentation. Songs like Khwaja Mere Khwaja, Maula Mere, and Na Tera Khuda Hai Koi ruled the show.Tanu Sethi, a guest present at the do, said, “I’m loving the entire Sufiyana ambience that has been created here. I have another party to attend tonight, and this event has already made my day.” The audience applauded Kavita for her soulful renditions. “Kavita’s performance was amazing. The energy and passion of the artistes made the event a success. There wasn’t a single boring moment,” said Seema Raizada, who was seated in the audience. Preeti Keer, who had come along with her family, added, “This event was a pleasant change from the regular DJ parties that keep happening in the city. Sufi music is very soothing.”
