The Hindi adaptation of French playwright Moliere's The Miser was staged at Shaheed Bhawan by the artists of the Yamini Cultural Evam Welfare Society. The satirical play was so loved by the audience that they couldn't control themselves laughing at every scene. The play revolves around a rich person named Mirza who is a miser. And due to this behaviour, his children don't like him.
Mirza falls in love with a woman named Mariam and seeks help from his neighbour Farzina . Farzina readily agrees and takes her to Mariam's house. There she meets the love of her life Faruk who is also Mirza's son. After Farukh gets to know his son's affair with their neighbour, he asks him to leave their house. In anger, Farukh steals the gold coins from his father's cupboard with the help of a servant. After this robbery, Farukh puts forward a condition that either he can choose Mariam or the gold coins. And in the end, the miser selects the gold coins.
