Children’s Film Festival at Bharat Bhavan in Bhopal

The eight-day long Children’s Film Festival, currently on at Bharat Bhavan, seems to be registering steady footfall every day for the short and animated message-oriented movies being screened there.
The film festival, which will conclude on June 7, has been organised to ensure that the maximum children are able to attend it due to the ongoing summer vacations.
On the first couple of days, two interesting films titled Gauriya Ki Champiand Gilli Gilli Atta were screened. The first, a 16 minute film directed by Gautam Benegal, presented the story of a common man. The other film revolved around the story of Shankar who is involved in anti-social activities but at the end becomes a responsible citizen. This was followed the next day by screenings of Mahakapi, directed by Rani Day Burra, and Kathi Ka Anda by Arun Khopkar.
