Anuv Jain bowls over fans at city gig: 'Kolkata & I go back a long way'

Anuv Jain’s Dastakhat Tour made its Kolkata stop on Sunday evening and got the city swaying. With his signature charm, heartfelt lyrics, and effortless connection with the crowd, Anuv turned the evening into an intimate celebration of love, longing, and music. Engaging with fans by reading their placards, responding to their messages, and even stepping off the stage to reach the middle of the venue so those at the back could enjoy a closer view, Anuv made sure every person felt part of the experience at his Kolkata leg of the Dastakhat tour preseneted by Team Innovation. The gesture earned a wave of cheers and left the audience visibly moved.


‘It felt more like a conversation’
Fans walked out of the venue still humming their favourite songs, describing the evening as “honest,” “heartfelt,” and “so worth the wait.” “It felt really personal like he was actually talking to us,” said Diya Chakraborty, a college student. Arjun Chakraborty,a student, who had been waiting months for the show, added, “When he came down from the stage and walked into the middle, everyone just lost it. It felt so genuine.” Another fan, Neha Jain, a teacher, shared, “The best part was when he read our placards and actually replied, that doesn’t happen often. It was more like a conversation”
